DC Fast Charging Station
DC Fast Charging Station Content
Description
DC fast charging stations are becoming more common with the increased adoption of electric vehicles. Charging stations are a vital part of the infrastructure along major highways and populated suburbs, ensuring that electric vehicles have a place to charge during long-distance travel and day-to-day driving. These systems are often comprised of multiple 25kW to 75kW modules to create fast charging systems that provide 150kW to 400kW of power, and can charge an electric vehicle battery from 10% to 90% in as fast as 20 minutes.
MPS's large portfolio of isolated solutions includes isolated gate drivers, isolated gate driver power supplies, digital isolators, Hall-effect current sensors, and non-isolated DC/DC converters. These components can be used for biasing and driving both SiC and IGBTs, and provide high power density by integrating transformers into a chip-scale package. Our solutions are designed to meet the strictest high-power specifications by employing capacitive isolation for high CMTI and magnetic noise immunity.
MPS’s robust isolated solutions provide everything you need to power the next generation of DC fast charging stations.
