Position Overview
This is a senior level position in applications/system engineering. Responsibilities include defining and debugging analog IC products, developing reference circuits, writing datasheets and applications/design notes, and providing applications support and technical training.
Experience Requirements
- Work with design engineers, field applications team, and marketing to define and debug analog IC products in DC/DC converters, specifically in computing power solutions including notebook, server, graphic card, and desktop. Prior experience in designing and defining these products are highly desired
- Develop application reference circuits and system level power management solutions for portable electronics, computing, networking, automotive and wireless markets
- Write datasheets, application notes, design notes and papers in magazines and conferences to promote MPS products
- Provide application support and technical training for key customers and field application engineers
Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in switch mode power supplies including DC/DC, AC/DC or inverters
- Fluent communication skills in English
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Self-motivated
- Previous experience in a power supply manufacturer or power management IC company desired

Position Overview
Development of analog and mixed-signal ICs for Power Management Products utilizing leading edge sub-micron BiCMOS /DMOS technologies. Products include, switching regulators, display drivers, audio amplifiers, precision linear circuits and power management ICs for fast-growing portable and non-portable markets such as broadband modems, PDAs, notebooks, cell phones, telecom, fiber optics, digital camera, and network equipment.
Job Functions
- Lead Design responsibility for the design and development of integrated circuit products
- Participates in the entire product development cycle, from product definition through product release
- Participates in cross functional teams to develop new technologies and markets
- May work with external vendors/customers in development or support of new product families

- Responsible and owner to track the progress of each development stage.
- Power management new Product development/Characterization and Qualification.
- Perform full reliability testing for new products.
- Assumes post release product responsibilities that may include customer interface as well as interfacing with manufacturing facilities. ( In-house and Subcontractor’s)
- Assumes product responsibilities after the product is released for wafer and package yield enhancement.
- Provide technical support related to failure analysis for customer returns
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Provide the technical expertise and training to offshore engineering.
- Debug the product problem at the transistor level on bench.
- Good interpersonal skills to achieve cross-functional objectives.
- Develop the project schedule for complex products working with cross functional teams.

Qualifications
- BSEE with 6 to 8 years of experience in Analog Product/Design Engineering
- Knowledge of analog circuits, fab process and package assembly.
- BiCMOS technology/devices, and software tools covering OR CAD, WORD, EXCEL also required
- Requires good verbal communications, technical writing, and Statistical analysis skills.
- Must have experience with Power Management Discrete Products.
- Full understanding of reliability testing.
- Knowledge of test methodology of testing Power management products

Job Functions
- Supports Regional Business Managers to identify, sign up and manage sales channels: hiring/firing, training, upgrading, strengthening, monitoring
- Implements targets within the regional and worldwide strategy, in cooperation with regional & worldwide Account Managers
- Manages some select direct accounts in person
- Manages business operations related to Distributors: budgeting, forecasting, RFQ, commission payment, etc.
- Primary interface with Corporate Marketing for training, collateral material, trade shows, etc.
- Identifies new projects and opportunities; Drive new design-in activities of MPS' entire product portfolio

- Well rounded business / sales management experience at all levels
- 5+ years of successful experience in electronic components sales positions with a track record of achievement, with at least 3 years of management experience
- Candidates with less experience but exceptional abilities will be seriously considered
Education
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or Business Administration Business (both are a plus); Candidates with lesser education but outstanding track record will be seriously considered as well.
Location
This is a home office position, so any location in Europe is a possibility, as long as the candidate has such a home office and dwells within 100km of an international airport
